So, I got banned from Daily SpitPaint for....erm.....being honest

Ok, so there’s this awesome group on facebook called “Daily Spitpaint” .
The idea is that you have to draw something based on the multiple topics updated regularly, WITHIN 30 minutes. It’s a great group with tons of talented and fun artists, some of them crazily talented. Their take on topic always surprised and fascinated me. The group is a great place to learn, to get inspired and be part of a fun, artistic community.

So, I’ve been following the group for months now, and finally grew the balls to post something (because the people that post there are way talented). My first post was on the topic “alien cathedral”, done in 30 minutes. The second post was on the topic “The red mist” and took me about 33 minutes, because I wasn’t keeping that specific track of time. So, anyways, I posted that in the group and wrote “a little over 30 minutes”

And guess what!
The next day, I couldn’t find the group anymore!
I thought it was going under maintenance and thus unavailable but soon realized, I was, indeed, BANNED.

At that point I was lost, I couldn’t figure out what I did to get banned. So I inboxed the admins and one of them confirmed this and revealed the reason. I tried to explain my situation but they said I broke the rules, cheated and disrespected the other artists by doing so. I tried to tell him that cheating would be writing 30 minute on that post even when it took 33. But he said they get complains like this every day from people who get banned and then harass them by sending private messages (now I can guess why they would). So I wished him a good day and left him alone.

Oh look, he even blocked me!
Seriously, dude?

Here are the things that bug me:
1.I WENT 3 minutes OVER THE LIMITS FOR GODS SAKES!
You think everything posted on there that say 30 minutes are EXACTLY 30 minutes?
I mean come one! Who keeps that precise track of time?

What's more, most people don't even post the time it took! (clever trick, why didn't i think of this?)
They just post the drawing and the title.

2. Personally, I’ve seen other artists post 30+ minutes artworks and that’s why I even posted that. The admin later told me that these people get a ban too, but how would I know that? I don’t see who gets banned, I only see the artworks! Sure it says on the rules to follow a strict 30 min time limit but seriously, how many people HONESTLY follow that?

3. If you are gonna ban someone for overgoing the time limit, at least give them a warning beforehand.
It’s the most polite, civilized and logical thing to do. But no, they just go ahead and ban them. And that’s a freaking LIFETIME BAN I tell you. Not a day, a week, a freaking LIFETIME.

I tried to make these points to the Admin but he said that it’s a huge group and banning people straightaway is the only way to keep things manageable.
So, I’m just banned from the group now…..
